2017 Flower Show Update

2017 Flower Show Update

Quarry Marquee 2017 – We are pleased to announce that the application form for exhibiting within the Quarry Marquee for our 130th Show is now available on our website.  We are calling all national and international professional creative horticulturalists  to take this amazing opportunity to look at the application form and our website under ‘Get Involved/Exhibiting’ to get an idea on how you can participate in this year’s Show.  We do work on a first come first served basis so don’t miss out on this terrific opportunity and experience, also with a view to encourage our young and budding professional horticulturalists.

Show Gardens 2017 – We are pleased to announce that the application forms for both mature and young budding horticultural designers are now available to download from our website.  It is our 130th Show this year and we are celebrating it with the theme ‘Buffalo Bill and the Wild West’ because it coincides with his birth and also to celebrate his 2 Great Britain Tours he did back in 1902-1903 and again in 1904.

We continue to support and promote the younger generation in developing their horticultural skills and passions and, therefore, this year we have decided to provide 3 Show Garden options i.e. Large Show Gardens, Senior School Show Gardens and Junior School Show Gardens, so for more information on what is required to partake in this terrific section of the Show download the application forms by clicking on the link to Show Gardens 2017.  Alternatively you can call Kaye on 01743 234054.

Floral Train 2017 – We are really excited about this year’s Floral Train theme for Primary Schools as it is an opportunity for the students to exhibit a bit more flare and panache because it is ‘Dining on the Orient Express’!  This will mean that the students will have an opportunity to grow herbs and flowering edible plants to create their own carriage on the train.  The application forms are being finalised and will become available in due course.  If you wish to know more or show an interest in exhibiting then please email  office@shrewsburyflowershow.org.uk.

Trade Sites 2017 –  We are celebrating our 130th year and the 2017 Trade application pack is now available to download on our website under ‘Get involved/Exhibiting’.

Once again the trade site area is filling up quickly so to avoid disappointment return your application forms ASAP and we will do our utmost best to accommodate you.  If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Kaye on 01743 234054 or alternatively email office@shrewsburyflowershow.org.uk. Looking forward to seeing you at the Show this year!
