A Guide To Your First Visit to Shrewsbury Flower Show

A Guide To Your First Visit to Shrewsbury Flower Show

Organising one of the world’s longest-running horticultural show means we see many visitors returning year after year.

But for some, this summer will be the first time they’ve stepped through the gates and experienced the magic that is our two-day annual event.

So we’ve put together a handy guide including plenty of information you might need to know before you come along on either August 10th or 11th:

Tickets

You can buy advance tickets until 10pm on Thursday August 9th, and tickets are also available on the gates on the days of the show.

Tickets are valid for either day of the show, but not both days (unless you become a member which entitles you to visit on Friday and Saturday).

You’ll need to bring your numbered ticket or e-ticket, not your order confirmation, to gain entry.

Visit our tickets page to buy a ticket or find out more.

This year we are also offering visitors to purchase tickets online on the morning of each day between 7am and 12noon. Please note this is available ONLINE only.

Getting Here

There are numerous options for getting to the show, whether by bus, train, coach or car.

If you’re driving here, then you can follow the yellow AA road signs to find the nearest car park with spaces. Parking is available at Frankwell (including disabled parking), Burrs Field and the Agricultural Showground.

Timings

Gates open at 8.30am for members and 10am for non-members both days. marquees open at 9am both days. On Friday, the Quarry Marquee will close at 8pm, and the Dingle and Severn Marquees at 9pm. On Saturday, all marquees will shut at 6pm.

The craft and food halls are open 9am to 8pm on Friday and 9am to 7pm on Saturday.

What to Leave at Home

To enable everyone to have a safe and fun time, we request that no bikes, drones or dogs (except assistance dogs) are brought onto site. Smoking including vaping is also not allowed in marquee, tent or enclosed space on the showground.

There will be random bag searches so it’s helpful to only bring the essentials with you.

Cash Machine

This year there will be one on site, precise location to be agreed.

On the Day

If you require any assistance, stewards are on hand to help. If they’re not able to assist, then head to the Secretary’s Tent by the main entrance.
