The Shrewsbury Flower Show is held in The Quarry Park, the main recreational park for the towns residents. The show has been held in this location for over 130 years placing the event into The Guinness Book of World Records for the longest running horticultural event held in the same location.

The largest landmark building near to The Quarry is St Chad’s Church located at the opposite side of St Chad’s Terrace.

Please Note – There is no parking within the Showground.

Location

By Car

Shrewsbury connects to the M6 and motorway network via the M54. The A49, A5, A53, A458 all make Shrewsbury easily accessible.

AA road signs will direct you to the Shrewsbury Flower Show as you approach the outskirts of Shrewsbury. These will also guide you to the nearest car park with spaces, where a shuttle bus will bring you to the showground.

By Train

Shrewsbury is linked by a regular main line rail service.

Parking

The Shrewsbury Flower Show operates car parks at Frankwell, Burrs Field and the Agricultural Showground. To guide you to the nearest car park with spaces, follow the yellow AA Road Signs for the Shrewsbury Flower Show. A Shuttle bus service operates from the Agricultural Showground. Alternative parking is also available at all three Shrewsbury Park & Ride Sites (Harlescott, Meole & Oxon) and these buses will be operating on an enhanced frequency on Friday 11 August and Saturday 12 August only until 6.30pm.    

Thereafter services will continue to operate during the evening until after the fireworks have finished – the fireworks are due to start at 9.45pm.

Disabled Parking

Car parking for the disabled is available at Frankwell Car Park, from where a disability shuttle service will operate to and from the main entrance of the showground. This service will be available between the hours of 9.30am and 7.30pm. Drivers should follow the AA road signs for Shrewsbury Flower Show – COACH PARKING please notify the car park attendant as your arrive.

Drop off Disabled Passengers

Disabled badge holders may be permitted by the local police to drop off disabled passengers outside the main gate, before parking their vehicles.

Due to livestock being at the show, no dogs with the exception of assistance dogs are allowed.

Event Mobility Charitable Trust

Event Mobility Charitable Trust will be providing electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to the show.

To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair either print out an advance booking form from our website www.eventmobility.org.uk or contact the office on 01386 725391 to request a form to be posted to you. Please be aware that advance bookings cannot be made by phone.
