Virtual Shrewsbury Flower Show

Because of COVID-19 this year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show has been cancelled. So we thought it would be a nice idea to hold a ‘virtual’ show instead.

The show will run on our social media pages, as well as on this page of the website, from 12noon – 8pm on Friday 14 & Saturday 15 August.

Keep an eye on our social media to find out more about gardening competitions and other ways that you can get involved.

Floral Competition for Schools

We’d love schools to be involved in this year’s virtual show and therefore would like your help.  We know schools have been open for key workers and vulnerable children since lockdown began, and that recently you have been welcoming back key year groups.  Our virtual school competition is based around this – have you been planting and gardening with these pupils? If so, we would love to receive pictures of what you have grown. All photos will be displayed as part of the Virtual Flower Show on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August, with each participating school receiving a certificate of thanks for taking part in the show.

If you would like to take part please email your photos to info@shrewsburyflowershow.org.uk stating the name of your school and adding ‘Floral Competition for Schools’ in the subject line by 1 August.
